What Makes Our Books So Different?
They cover, in sufficient detail, the procedures unique to California civil litigation.
Some books have too little information; some are too difficult for students. Ours are "just right." Take a look at the Table of Contents of each book to see what we mean. Click here for the LBTN Table of Contents, and here for the Companion Table of Contents. (If we cover more subjects than you have time for in your course, just skip those chapters.)
They are both written in plain English, with clear and concise examples and instructions. See some excerpts:
New vocabulary words appear at the beginning of each chapter of LBTN, and all of those vocabulary words appear alphabetically in a Glossary. In the Companion, words are defined in the text and/or in a unique Glossary/Index, which not only defines the term, but references where it can be found in context in the Companion.
Simple tables make teaching and learning easier, and are great on-the-job references.
They are up-to-date (Litigation By The Numbers is updated every January and July). You won't have to waste valuable class time explaining to your students that the CRC rule numbers or Discovery code sections cited in the book are obsolete, or that the filing and service deadlines for motions changed years ago.
