Is an Update Service Subscription required?

No.  But it is highly recommended.  Why buy an up-to-date book, and then let it become outdated?  Remember, the codes, rules, and forms are subject to change every six months!

Can I buy the book now and buy the Update Service Subscription separately at a later date?

Yes, but we don't recommend it because:  (i) you'll pay $15.00 more for your subscription than you would if you bought the Combo Pak, (ii) you may forget to subscribe, (iii) while you delay in subscribing, your book may be out-of-date, and (iv) you miss out on the AbacusLaw Bonus Offer!

Is it possible that I could subscribe to the Update Service but not receive any Updates during a particular year?

Yes, but it's only happened once since 1982!  Typically there are two Updates per year.
